(Sydney, Australia) Today it was announced all sales from the INXS single, Don't Change, will be donated to the Red Cross Haiti relief effort.

The announcement comes as INXS fans across the globe champion to make Don't Change the number one single in recognition of Michael Hutchence's 50th birthday, which will be celebrated on the 22nd January 2010.

The sales of the song, which first hit the airways in 1982, are currently soaring through digital sites such as iTunes and Amazon and look set to achieve number one position in some markets.

Thanks to the support of the Universal Music Group and INXS, all proceeds from sales will be donated to the Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

CM Murphy, Chairman of Petrol Electric and INXS Creative Director and Global Business Strategist commented: "Thanks to the support of the Universal Music Group and the fans, INXS are thrilled to be able to contribute to the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. Michael was also so supportive of charities and giving back to the community, and I am sure he would be very proud of INXS for making this gesture."

Australian Red Cross CEO Robert Tickner commended Petrol Electric, Universal Music and dedicated fans for their generous support of Red Cross' relief and recovery work in Haiti.

"We are seeing devastation on a massive scale and we still don't even know the full extent of it. What we do know is that it will take a major international effort to help the Haitian community at this time and the funds raised through the sales of this single will contribute directly to that."
