Fall Out Boy Signs To Island Records
Hailing from Chicago, IL - Fallout Boy first got their start with a 3-song EP that quickly became the talk of the town. Soon after, Fall Out Boy released a split CD with Milwaukee counterparts, Project Rockets before signing to Fueled By Ramen Records where they recently released their first full length CD, "Take This To Your Grave."
Having created a national buzz through relentless touring with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, OK Go, Rise Against, Throwdown, Yellow Card and Rufio, just to name a few, Island Records was enthusiastic about signing a major label deal with the Chicago based quartet. MTV has also taken notice of the band and will be featuring them on a "You Hear It First" news segment this month, to air on MTV and MTV2. Fall Out Boy's first single, "Dead On Arrival" was recently part of Q101's (Chicago) "Cage Match" beating out Marilyn Manson, Howie Day, and Queens of the Stone Age 14 nights in a row! The video for "Dead On Arrival" was also recently featured on Fuse's Ovenfresh where it was voted into the #1 spot beating out the Deftones and Nickelback.
Fall Out Boy are currently on tour with Less Than Jake taking them coast to coast before heading over to Europe in January. The New Year will also find Fall Out Boy recording their major label debut for Island Records. Drawing influences from rock, pop and hardcore, Fall Out Boy has constructed a distinctive sound of unforgettable melodies, multifaceted guitar hooks and clever lyrics that are sure to convert fans wherever they go!
