Band Concert Review
Nine Inch Nails: Live at the Eagles Ballroom
The Rave / Eagles Ballroom - Milwaukee, WI - February 2, 2006
While it was my pleasure to take the one hour ride up north to Milwaukee , I wasn't prepared to see such a historic band play at such a unique and perfectly placed venue. Walking into The Rave makes you feel as though you've crept into the inner-workings of the rock and roll gods. Maybe even under their fingernails. It's dark, dirty and a downright gift to the music we listen to. In many ways similar, Nine Inch Nails themselves sets the tone for the evening. Many of those "faithfuls" smashed up against the front barricade have been following along for this leg of the tour. For them, it doesn't matter. Nine Inch Nails is what it's all about. I could ramble on about how good they sound live and how important they were to the 90's or how amazing their following remains today. The point is, Nine Inch Nails supersedes all of that. They have an expanded fan base that is way beyond expectation. Guys wearing backwards baseball hats? At a Nine Inch Nails concert? Yep. A new disc that is as good as anything produced in the past. Yep again. A sound that is just as amazing live as heard in your car or on your iPod? You know the answer. Below I have listed the set list for all those interested. The show was this good but a thousand times better.
