Apparently Green Day singer, Billie Joe Armstrong was up to some "Shenanigans" recently when his black BMW was pulled over early Sunday morning near Berkeley, California. Green Day, fronted by Billie Joe Armstrong, are known for a string of hits in the 90's with well known songs like "When I Come Around" and "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)". Billie Joe may have in fact had a little too much fun. After failing both sobriety and Breathalyzer tests he was taken into custody where he was booked for misdemeanor drunk driving and released for $1,200 bail. He'll be arraigned towards the end of this month. The punk-rock trio was very successful in helping to break the raw sound of classic U.K. punk (with an English accent and everything) into the mainstream during the mid-90's. Now some may just mark this down as living true to the punk lifestyle (aka Sid Vicious) but being a 30-year-old father it just seems more fitting to call him a "Nimrod"!
