John Travolta solidified his position as the most versatile and magnetic screen presence of the decade in this film version of the smash hit play Grease. Recording star Olivia Newton-John made her American film debut as Sandy, Travolta's naive love interest.

The impressive supporting cast reads like a "who's who" in this quintessential musical about the fabulous '50s. Grease is not just a nostalgic look at a simpler decade--it's an energetic and exciting musical homage to the age of rock 'n' roll!

In my opinion, the greatest musical movie of all time makes its debut on the Blu-ray format and Travolta never looked or sounded so good. We all know the romance between Danny and Sandy and the music that brought it all together. Seeing Grease in the Blu-ray 1080p format really brings back the excitement I had when I first saw it on the big screen back in '78. The Dolby TrueHD 5.1 delivers an audio track that truly breathes a new life into an already wonderful soundtrack.

There are problem spots in the film but, that must be due to the original film also having these problems. There are a few blurry spots and it doesn't take away from the film but it is noticeable like in the "Greased Lightning" scene or in the "Hopelessly Devoted To You" scene. There are noticeable imperfections but, all in all, the upgrade in picture and audio quality is well worth the purchase price.
