"O'Hana means Family, Family means nobody gets left behind."

Mad Genius or scientist, Dr. Jumba Jookiba's monster creation is considered a danger by the United Galactic Federation. Classified by Jumba as Experiment 626, who has an appetite for a little bit of mischief. Jumba is jailed and Stitch is exiled from the planet. While transporting 626 he escapes to Earth. The Councilwoman orders Jumba and Agent Pleakley (resident expert on Earth) to recover Experiment 626. 626 makes his way to the Hawaiian Islands, who is taken to the pound, mistaken for a dog. A young girl, Lilo, adopts the new dog, with reservation by her sister Nina, and names him Stitch. Nina is the older sister and Lilo's guardian. Their parents passed away and they are the only family that is left. Nina is told by the local social worker, Cobra, that if she cannot take care of Lilo she will be taken into foster care. So the adventure begins.

Stitch cannot flee the island because of his fear of water.  Lilo and Stitch tag along with Nina on her jobs. But because of the mischief Stitch causes it's hard for Nina to keep a job. In one of the many scenes where Stitch gets in trouble starts out as a warming experience. Stitch changes into the famous white outfit and does some Elvis impersonating.  All the tourists go wild and start taking pictures of the creature. Stitch gets frightened and destroys the beach. With all this happening Cobra observes in the background. Much of the soundtrack consists of Elvis classics which fits right in with the beauty and the colors of Hawaii.

Throughout the animation, Jumba and Pleakley, are out to capture 626 without any success. Finally the two are fired by the Councilwoman and Jumba takes in on behalf of himself to do it his way to bring the creature in.  Nina has a job lead and leaves Lilo alone in the house. Jumba in his determination to capture Stitch and both destroy the home. While Nina is away for a few moments, the ambulance comes and Lilo is taken away by Cobra.  Lilo runs out of the car and the chase begins for Lilo and Stitch again.
