Packed with more heart, more suspense and more tail-wagging fun -than ever before, the Buddies' greatest adventure yet takes them to the final frontier-- outer space! Adorable Golden Retriever puppies Rosebud, Buddha, Budderball, B-Dawg, and Mudbud return in an epic adventure that takes them farther than they ever dreamed. In a delightful new escapade, the inquisitive pooches travel to the moon in search of a dream, only to realize that what they want is back on earth. Moving at warp speed, dodging asteroids and more, the Buddies and their two new friends, Spudnick, a sweet bull terrier and Gravity, a resourceful ferret, must summon their courage and ingenuity to launch plans for a moon landing and a rocketing trip back home. Will they have the right stuff?

Overflowing with intergalactic action and heart, Space Buddies is an inspiring tale of teamwork, and loyalty that celebrates the journey of life and the friendships made along the way. It's Buddy-loving fun the whole family will enjoy again and again.

The movie was a joy to watch as the young pubs get lost in an unmanned ship headed for the moon.The pups have to make an unscheduled docking on the Russian station where they meet up with the adorable bull terrier Spudnick. Spudnick has been stuck on the space station with the Yuri (Diedrich Bader) the cosmonaut for way too long. Spudnick dreams of returning to his master. Yuri is more than pleased to help the space ship refuel when the pups are discovered he thinks they are a gift to him. All the pups make it back to the ship with their new friend Spudnick. The pup crew arrive on the moon and home base on earth discover the animals onboard. Not to cause animal rights activities any problems, home base is stressed with the hope that the dogs return for a to the space craft and for a safe journey home.

The plot has corporate sabotage, animal activism, some ethics scenarios and international crises. But it's all fun for the kids. One thing I cannot agree is the marketing advocacy for vegetarianism in this movie. Why make dogs veggie eaters when they are not. Dogs are carnivores, not omnivores. Let's teach our kids facts and not advocacy.
