How long have you been in the modeling industry?
I have been in the business for 5 years now. I was in New York and I moved there to be "discovered." I originally started responding to ads in newspapers looking for models.
Where these legitimate offers?
Oh yes. I've had very few encounters with people who didn't come through.
So right off the bat you got involved in the adult side of the industry?
Yes. I was interested in it. I wanted to do it professionally as opposed to doing it in basements. I wanted clean, safe, controlled, and right.
How did your family or friends take to you jumping into the porn business?
I have no idea. I don't really care or worry about other people. I go with what my heart wants and worry about myself as opposed to others. I do consider it erotic art, not really porn. It is an expression of my natural self.
But regardless, you are in an industry which can ruin the health, safety and lives of those that participate in it. What do you do to stay safe?
I definitely agree with you that this industry can be dangerous. I don't let money dictate where I go or what I do. Also, I only work with one person.
And this one person is your life mate?
Yes he is my husband. We don't swing outside of work. We are exclusive to each other in and out of office.
So what brought you two together?
We have the same interests. We met at a party in New York and just hit it off. I think the stars were lined up just right to make it all come together.
How is it working with him day in and day out?
Beautiful. It gets better everyday. We learn how to please each other. It is awesome, life is great.
Meaning that because you have intimacy with each other for financial gain, it doesn't take away from when you two are alone?
No it doesn't take away from it at all. When we are alone, it is more intimate and sacred. The real beauty of it could never really be captured.
When did you launch your website XanaStar.com?
We actually most recently redesigned it, so that is like an official launch. I originally bought the domain 4 years ago to let people know I exist and contact me.
What is fan response to the new site?
It is incredible. We have more custom orders coming in than we can handle at this point. It challenges us and makes us work hard.
What negative things have you encountered in this industry?
A couple times you run across unprofessional people like photographers who don't have it all together. I make sure every detail of the shoot is planned out, so nothing is left out.
How often do people recognize you in public?
It is kind of hard to identify me. I usually wear sweats and big glasses. If I am showing my tattoos, then I am easier to spot.
What music are you interested in?
I like all kinds of music. Everything from trance to techno. I listen to reggae, hip hop, rap, dance music, blues, jazz and ska. And of course rock n' roll.
What kind of music do you like to have sex to?
Well anything would do. Drum and bass makes me feel really sexy, especially when I am dancing to it.
Has there ever been any musicians you were a groupie for, or would be a groupie for?
No, not really my interest. I would rather be part of the group and sing. Maybe join Long Beach Dub Allstars .
Do you ever do karaoke?
I don't like karaoke no. But I can sing at after parties.
So what is next in your career, music or erotica?
Both. We are going to work to mix the two together. I am also going to try fashion design.
Tell me about your clothing line.
I make hand made clothing. From pants, jeans to matching jackets and skirts. I take it, customize it, make it funky and better. I also make jewelry. We don't have a name yet.
Multi-talented. Anything else we don't know about you yet?
Well I do love to dance. If I had time I would paint and draw more often. I can draw cartoon versions of people. Oh yes and I love to cook!
