 Azealia Banks performed for a packed Concord Music Hall in Chicago last (May 16). After seeing her live show, Bank's raw talent is undeniable. Die-hard fans of all races- gay, straight, hippy, emo, goth, grunge, biker, house-head and everything in-between chomped at the bit until Banks emerged, wearing a see-thru plastic cat suit with a black thong underneath. Banks ignited the crowd yelling, "Make some m*thaf*ckin noise Chicago!" She commanded the stage with her eclectic dance hits like "212," "Black Licorice," and "Heavy Metal and Reflective." Most of the time, her fans rapped every word; and that's with Azealia's machine gun delivery.
With her long black curly hair swinging as she rapped her raucous lyrics and danced with her electro brass beats, Banks embodied her moniker, Yung Rapunxel. Her fans love that Banks shows the aggressive, racy, sexy, fun, vulnerable, and sincere sides of herself on stage. Azealia also sang the vocals live for many of her cuts like "Ice Queen." My favorite part was when she grabbed the bullhorn and rapped one of her cuts fast as hell- with her fans! If Azealia Banks keeps up her infectious dance hits and turnt-up live shows, she could be an international star.
